THOUGHTS ON STEWARDSHIP:  Acts 1:16: “Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke beforehand by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus.” Judas sold out our Lord for 30 pieces of silver – that is, he sold out his friend, and Master, and teacher for the sake of greed.  That is a sharp reminder for us to search our own hearts for greed and to pray that the Lord would help us to turn away from greed before it consumes us.

THE ADULT BIBLE CLASS, led by Pastor Lueck and meeting in the church basement at 9:15 a.m. is studying “Lutheran Doctrine and Practice Today”.

TODAY’S SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON IS “Jesus Raises Lazarus.”  In resurrecting Lazarus, Jesus demonstrated that He can indeed raise all who believe in Him for salvation.  True life is eternal life with Jesus.  Consider asking, “Where do we see and experience the effects of sin in our lives?  What does Jesus promise to all who believe in Him as Savior?”

TODAY will be our final door Offering for Seminarian Brad Ferch and his family.  Brad received his Divine Call into the ministry recently.  He will serve God’s people at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Davenport, Iowa.  A recent thank-you from the Ferch family is posted outside the church office.  We will receive a new adopted seminary student in the fall.
